Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a baking dish.

Melt the butter and dark chocolate in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth.

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.

Gradually add the melted chocolate mixture to the egg mixture, stirring until well combined.

In a separate bowl, sift together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, folding until just combined.

Pour the batter into the greased baking dish and smooth the top.

Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

In a small bowl, whisk together the heavy cream and powdered sugar until soft peaks form.
