  2. In a large bowl, combine the shredded coconut, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Using a cookie scoop or your hands, form the mixture into small balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 15 minutes or until the macaroons are golden brown around the edges.
  5. Remove from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes.
  6. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the semisweet chocolate chips and vegetable oil in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  7. Dip the bottom of each macaroon into the melted chocolate and place them back on the baking sheet.
  8. Let the chocolate set for about 30 minutes before serving.
