  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter until well combined. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch (23 cm) springform pan to form the crust.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, and amaretto liqueur until smooth.
  4. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the melted chocolate.
  5. Pour the cream cheese mixture over the crust in the springform pan. Smooth the top with a spatula.
  6. Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is slightly golden.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
  8. Run a knife around the edge of the pan to loosen the cheesecake, then remove the sides of the pan.
  9. Let the cheesecake cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  10. Serve chilled with whipped cream and toasted sliced almonds on top.
