Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a baking dish with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Fold in the chocolate chips, shredded coconut, and macadamia nuts.

Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking dish.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown and set in the center.

Remove from the oven and let it cool in the baking dish for 30 minutes.

Lift the cookie bars out of the dish using the parchment paper and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once cooled, cut into bars and serve.
