Ingredients
  • 2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Butter
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup Cherries (dried or fresh)
  • 1/2 cup Powdered sugar (for frosting)
  • 2 tablespoon Milk (for frosting)
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix well.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until well combined.
  6. Fold in the cherries.
  7. Roll the dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  9. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. In a small bowl, mix together the powdered sugar and milk to make the frosting.
  11. Drizzle the frosting over the cooled cookies.
