Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a medium-sized saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

Stir in the brown sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt until well combined.

Add the apples and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

In a separate bowl, combine the flour, rolled oats, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and the remaining salt.

Pour the apple mixture into a baking dish and sprinkle the oat mixture on top.

Bake for 20 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes.

Drizzle caramel sauce over the dessert before serving.
