  1. Wash the moong dal thoroughly and soak it in water for 30 minutes.
  2. Drain the water and transfer the soaked dal to a pressure cooker.
  3. Add 3 cups of water and pressure cook for 3-4 whistles or until the dal is soft and mushy.
  4. In a separate pan, heat ghee over medium heat.
  5. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  6. Add minced garlic and sauté until golden brown.
  7. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
  8. Pour the cooked dal into the pan and mix everything together.
  9. Let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  10. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
  11. Serve hot with rice or roti.
