In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butterscotch chips and butter together, stirring until smooth.

In a separate bowl, beat the brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.

Gradually add the melted butterscotch mixture to the sugar mixture, stirring until smooth.

In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Fold in the chopped cashews.

Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a greased or lined baking sheet.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
