Butterfinger candy bars were first introduced in 1923 and have been a popular treat ever since!

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

Mix in the peanut butter, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Fold in the crushed Butterfinger candy bars.

Drop rounded tablespoonfuls of dough onto an ungreased baking sheet.

Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.

Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
