Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
-
In a medium bowl, whisk together the cake flour, baking powder, and salt.
-
In a separate large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
-
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.
-
Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
-
Remove the cakes from the oven and let them cool in the pans for 10 minutes. Then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
-
Once the cakes are completely cooled, level the tops if necessary. Place one cake layer on a serving plate and spread a layer of whipped cream on top. Place the second cake layer on top.
-
Decorate the cake to resemble a bunny using food coloring, candy eyes, mini marshmallows, pink jellybeans, and shredded coconut.
-
Serve and enjoy!
