Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the cake flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a separate large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.
  5. Divide the batter evenly between the prepared cake pans. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Remove the cakes from the oven and let them cool in the pans for 10 minutes. Then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  7. Once the cakes are completely cooled, level the tops if necessary. Place one cake layer on a serving plate and spread a layer of whipped cream on top. Place the second cake layer on top.
  8. Decorate the cake to resemble a bunny using food coloring, candy eyes, mini marshmallows, pink jellybeans, and shredded coconut.
  9. Serve and enjoy!
