Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9-inch (23x23 cm) baking pan.

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Add the sugar and vanilla extract, and mix well.

Beat in the eggs, one at a time, until well combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Pour half of the batter into the prepared baking pan. Place the Reese cups on top, evenly spaced. Pour the remaining batter over the Reese cups.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Remove from the oven and let the brownies cool in the pan for 1 hour.
