Brownie-Mallow Bars
Ingredients
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9-inch baking dish.
-
In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Stir in the sugar, cocoa powder, and vanilla extract until well combined.
-
Beat in the eggs, one at a time, until fully incorporated.
-
In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
-
Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
-
Remove the baking dish from the oven and immediately place the marshmallows on top of the brownie layer. Return to the oven for an additional 3-5 minutes, or until the marshmallows are puffed and lightly golden.
-
Remove from the oven and sprinkle the chocolate chips over the marshmallows. Allow the bars to cool completely in the baking dish.
-
Once cooled, cut into bars and serve.
