Preheat the oven to 325°F (163°C).

In a bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch (23 cm) springform pan.

In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and brown sugar until smooth. Add the pumpkin puree, eggs, vanilla extract, pumpkin pie spice, and salt. Mix until well combined.

Pour the mixture over the crust in the springform pan. Smooth the top with a spatula.

Bake for 60 minutes or until the center is set.

Turn off the oven and let the cheesecake cool in the oven for 1 hour.

Remove the cheesecake from the oven and let it cool completely.

Refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.

Serve chilled with whipped cream and drizzle with caramel sauce.
