Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a round cake pan.

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk.

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top. Bake for 30-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once the cake has cooled, slice it in half horizontally. Spread the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the bottom half of the cake.

Place the top half of the cake back on and spread the whipped cream over the entire cake.

Sprinkle the shredded coconut and chocolate sprinkles on top of the whipped cream.
