Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). In a large bowl, combine the bran flakes, whole wheat flour, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate bowl, beat the egg. Add the honey, milk, and vegetable oil. Mix well.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined.

Fold in the raisins and chopped walnuts.

Spoon the batter into a greased muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.

Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the muffins to cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
