Peel and slice the sweet potatoes into 1/4-inch thick rounds.

In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the brown sugar, bourbon, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt until well combined.

Arrange the sweet potato slices in a baking dish. Pour the butter mixture over the sweet potatoes, ensuring they are evenly coated.

Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.

Remove the foil and sprinkle the pecans over the sweet potatoes. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the sweet potatoes are tender and the pecans are toasted.

Remove from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes.

Optionally, top with marshmallows and broil for 1-2 minutes, until the marshmallows are golden brown.
