  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the egg and vanilla extract. Add the egg mixture to the flour mixture and mix until well combined.
  4. Press two-thirds of the mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Spread the blueberries evenly over the crust.
  5. Crumble the remaining flour mixture over the blueberries.
  6. Bake for 40 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  7. Allow the bars to cool in the baking dish for 1 hour.
  8. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
  9. Cut into squares and serve.
