  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix well.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.
  4. Gently fold in the blueberries.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Remove from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes in the dish. Then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Serve the Blue Moon cake as is or with a dusting of powdered sugar.
