  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and licorice extract.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Stir in the black food coloring.
  5. Drop rounded tablespoons of batter onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
