Rinse and drain the black beans.

In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat.

Add black beans, vegetable stock, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper to the pot. Bring to a boil.

Reduce heat and simmer for 20-25 minutes until the beans are tender.

In a blender or food processor, blend half of the soup until smooth. Return to the pot.

In a separate bowl, mix chopped cilantro and sour cream.
