  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in the butter using a pastry cutter or your fingers until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk and egg.
  5. Pour the milk mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  6. Gently fold in the mixed berries.
  7. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead a few times until it comes together.
  8. Roll the dough into a rectangle about 1/2 inch thick.
