  1. Grate the cheddar cheese and set aside.
  2. In a fondue pot or a heavy-bottomed saucepan, heat the beer over medium heat until hot but not boiling.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with a little water to form a slurry.
  4. Add the garlic, mustard powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper to the beer and stir well.
  5. Gradually add the cheddar cheese, stirring constantly until melted and smooth.
  6. Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the fondue thickens.
  7. Serve the beer and cheddar fondue with bread cubes for dipping.
