Nutella was created during World War II when an Italian pastry maker mixed hazelnuts into chocolate to extend his chocolate supply.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with paper liners.

In a large bowl, mash the bananas.

Add the Nutella to the mashed bananas and mix well.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

In another bowl, combine the melted butter and sugar. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.

Fold in the chopped roasted hazelnuts.

Divide the batter evenly among the muffin cups.

Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow the muffins to cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
