Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.

In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.

In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar. Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix well.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
