Baked Jelly Doughnuts

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.

Spoon the batter into a greased doughnut pan, filling each well about 2/3 full.

Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the doughnuts are golden brown and spring back when lightly touched.

Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes.

Transfer the doughnuts to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once the doughnuts are cool, use a piping bag or small spoon to fill each doughnut with jelly or jam.

Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
