Grease a baking dish with butter.

Cut the bread into cubes and place them in the prepared baking dish.

In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.

Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until softened.

In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, parsley, salt, and black pepper.

Pour the egg mixture over the bread cubes in the baking dish.
