  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a baking dish.
  2. In a food processor, pulse the apricots and macadamia nuts until finely chopped.
  3. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar. Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix well.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until well combined.
  5. Press half of the dough into the prepared baking dish. Spread the caramel sauce over the dough. Sprinkle the apricot and macadamia nut mixture evenly over the caramel sauce.
