  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Peel, core, and dice the apples.
  3. In a bowl, mix the diced apples, sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice.
  4. Melt the butter in a pan over medium heat and add the apple mixture. Cook for 5 minutes until the apples are tender.
  5. Roll out the puff pastry sheets and cut them into squares.
  6. Place a spoonful of the apple mixture onto each square.
  7. Fold the squares diagonally to form triangles and seal the edges with a fork.
  8. Brush the turnovers with beaten egg.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  10. Remove from the oven and let them rest for 10 minutes.
  11. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
