Ingredients
  • 6 piece Apples
  • 1 sheet Puff pastry
  • 1 cup Brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoon Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Water
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Peel and core the apples.
  3. Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into 6 squares.
  4. Place an apple in the center of each square.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla extract.
  6. Fill each apple with the sugar mixture.
  7. Fold the pastry over the apple and seal the edges.
  8. Place the dumplings in a baking dish.
  9. Pour water over the dumplings and dot with butter.
  10. Bake for 35-40 minutes, until the pastry is golden brown.
  11. Let the dumplings rest for 10 minutes before serving.
  12. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped cream, if desired.
