Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Peel, core, and slice the apples.

In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples, granulated sugar, and 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour. Mix well.

In a separate bowl, combine the rolled oats, brown sugar, remaining all-purpose flour, ground cinnamon, and salt. Mix well.

Cut the butter into small pieces and add it to the oat mixture. Use your fingers or a pastry cutter to mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Place the apple mixture in a baking dish and sprinkle the oat mixture evenly over the top.

Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender.

Remove from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
