  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. In a separate small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water and let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add the yeast mixture, milk, melted butter, and egg to the flour mixture. Stir until a soft dough forms.
  3. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 5 minutes, until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  4. Meanwhile, peel and chop the apples. In a small bowl, mix together cinnamon and brown sugar.
  5. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a rectangle. Spread the cinnamon-sugar mixture evenly over the dough, then sprinkle the chopped apples on top.
  6. Starting from one long side, tightly roll up the dough and cut it into 12 equal pieces. Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  7. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the rolls for 20-25 minutes, until golden brown.
  8. In a small bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk to make the glaze. Drizzle the glaze over the warm rolls.
