Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Roll out one pie crust and place it in a 9-inch pie dish.

Peel, core, and slice the apples.

In a large bowl, combine the sliced apples, apple cider, sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Mix well.

Pour the apple mixture into the pie crust.

Dot the top of the filling with butter.

Roll out the second pie crust and place it over the filling. Trim and crimp the edges.

Cut a few slits in the top crust to allow steam to escape.

Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly.
