  4. Gently fold the almond flour mixture into the egg whites until fully combined.
  5. Add almond extract and salt, and fold until incorporated.
  6. Transfer the batter into a piping bag fitted with a round tip.
  7. Pipe small rounds onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  8. Let the macaroons rest for 30 minutes to develop a skin.
  9. Bake for 15 minutes, or until the macaroons are firm and slightly golden.
  10. Remove from the oven and let cool completely before serving.
