Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cut the cauliflower into florets and steam until tender.

In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.

Gradually whisk in the milk and cook until the sauce thickens.

Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in 1 cup of cheddar cheese until melted.

Season the sauce with salt and black pepper.

Place the steamed cauliflower in a casserole dish and pour the cheese sauce over it.

Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese and breadcrumbs on top.
