Ingredients
  • 8 ounce Butter
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 jar Maraschino cherries
  • 1 cup White chocolate chips
  • 0.5 cup Almonds
  • 0.5 cup Powdered sugar
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x9-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until well combined.
  4. In a small bowl, beat the eggs and then add them to the batter. Mix until smooth.
  5. Drain the maraschino cherries and chop them into small pieces. Fold the cherries, white chocolate chips, and almonds into the batter.
  6. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan. Bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow the bars to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Once the bars are cooled, dust them with powdered sugar. Cut into bars and serve.
