Triple Decker Lava Cake
The lava cake gets its name from the molten chocolate center that oozes out when you cut into it.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and flour three 8-inch round cake pans.

In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the dark chocolate and butter together in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, eggs, all-purpose flour, salt, and vanilla extract until well combined.

Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the bowl with the egg mixture and stir until smooth.

Divide the batter evenly among the prepared cake pans and smooth the tops.

Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly jiggly.

Remove from the oven and let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes.

Carefully invert one cake onto a serving plate and dust with powdered sugar.

Place the second cake on top and dust with powdered sugar.

Finally, place the third cake on top and dust with powdered sugar.

Serve with fresh berries on the side.
