In a separate large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the peppermint extract.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in the white chocolate chips and crushed peppermint candies.

Divide the dough in half and shape each half into a log about 12 inches long and 2 inches wide. Place the logs onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.
