Ingredients
  • 2 cup Sweet Potatoes
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 stick Butter
  • 1/2 cup Evaporated Milk
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 9-inch Pie Crust
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Boil the sweet potatoes until tender, then peel and mash them.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed sweet potatoes, granulated sugar, brown sugar, melted butter, evaporated milk, eggs, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and salt. Mix well.
  4. Pour the mixture into the pie crust and smooth the top.
  5. Bake for 55-60 minutes, or until the pie is set and the crust is golden brown.
  6. Remove from the oven and let it cool for at least 2 hours before serving.
  7. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
