Ingredients
  • 2 pound Sweet Potatoes
  • 1 cup Applesauce
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 4 tablespoon Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup Pecans
  • 1/2 cup Marshmallows
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Peel and dice the sweet potatoes.
  3. In a large pot, boil the sweet potatoes until they are tender.
  4. Drain the sweet potatoes and return them to the pot.
  5. Mash the sweet potatoes until smooth.
  6. Add the applesauce, brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, and nutmeg to the pot.
  7. Mix well until all the ingredients are combined.
  8. Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish.
  9. Sprinkle pecans on top.
  10. Bake for 30 minutes.
  11. Remove from the oven and top with marshmallows.
  12. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the marshmallows are golden brown.
  13. Let the casserole rest for 10 minutes before serving.
