Ingredients
  • 8 slice Bread
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 2 stalk Celery
  • 4 tablespoon Butter
  • 2 cup Chicken or Vegetable Broth
  • 2 large Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Sage
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Thyme
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cut the bread into cubes and spread them on a baking sheet. Toast in the oven for about 10 minutes, or until golden brown.
  3. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the onion and celery, and cook until softened.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the toasted bread cubes, cooked onion and celery mixture, broth, eggs, sage, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is set.
  7. Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
