Ingredients
  • 1.5 cup All-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup Granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Almond extract
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 40 piece Whole almonds
  • 10 drop Red food coloring
Instructions
  1. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter, sugar, almond extract, and vanilla extract.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and salt.
  3. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture and mix until well combined.
  4. Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and roll each portion into a finger shape.
  5. Use a knife to make knuckle marks and almond slices for fingernails.
  6. Place the fingers on a baking sheet and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 12-15 minutes, or until lightly golden.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool.
  8. Once cooled, use a small brush to apply red food coloring to the almond slices for a bloody effect.
