Spiced Banana Bread Muffins
Banana bread became popular in the United States during the Great Depression as a way to use overripe bananas.
This is vegetarian recipe. Dish can be prepared in 45 minutes. Recipe requires some culinary experience (medium difficulty). Number of ingredients: 12.

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a muffin tin or line with paper liners.

In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas with a fork.

Add the melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas. Mix well.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring until just combined.

Fold in the chopped walnuts.

Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin tin, filling each cup about 2/3 full.

Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.

Remove from the oven and let the muffins cool in the tin for 5 minutes.

Transfer the muffins to a wire rack to cool completely.
