  • 2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground cloves
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Apples, peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup Chopped pecans
  • For the Pecan Praline Topping:
  • 1/4 cup Unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup Brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup Chopped pecans
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the chopped apples and pecans.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. While the loaf is baking, prepare the pecan praline topping. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the brown sugar and heavy cream until smooth. Remove from heat and stir in the chopped pecans.
  9. Once the loaf is done baking, remove it from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes. Then, transfer the loaf to a wire rack to cool completely.
  10. Drizzle the pecan praline topping over the cooled loaf.
  11. Slice and serve.
