  • 1 cup Sourdough starter
  • 2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Rolled oats
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cloves
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup Brown sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 2 Apples, peeled and diced
Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, combine the sourdough starter, all-purpose flour, rolled oats, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the melted butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  3. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until well combined.
  4. Gently fold in the diced apples.
  5. Transfer the batter into a greased loaf pan.
  6. Let the batter rest for 2 hours.
  7. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  8. Bake the bread for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
  10. Transfer the bread to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing and serving.
