Ingredients
  • 1.5 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup Unsalted butter, melted
  • 0.5 cup Sour cream
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 0.25 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Apple, peeled and chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon Instant coffee granules
  • 1 tablespoon Powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch square baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, sugar, melted butter, sour cream, egg, vanilla extract, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
  3. Spread half of the batter into the prepared baking pan. Sprinkle the chopped apple evenly over the batter.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together the cinnamon and instant coffee granules. Sprinkle the mixture over the apples.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the remaining batter over the apples and cinnamon-coffee mixture.
  6. Bake for 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 30 minutes.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
  9. Cut into squares and serve.
