Ingredients
  • 2 cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Ginger
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1/4 tablespoon Molasses
  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar (for rolling)
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and molasses.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing well after each addition.
  5. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls. Roll each ball in the granulated sugar to coat.
  6. Place the coated balls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are crisp. Remove from the oven and allow to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes.
  8. Transfer the gingersnaps to a wire rack to cool completely.
  9. Store in an airtight container.
