Ingredients
  • 1.5 cup Oats
  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 cup Unsalted butter, softened
  • 0.5 cup Granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup Brown sugar
  • 1 large Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together oats, flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Roll the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Flatten each ball slightly with the bottom of a glass.
  6. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes.
  7. While the cookies are still warm, sift powdered sugar over the tops of the cookies to create a frosting-like coating.
  8. Transfer the cookies to a wire rack to cool completely.
