Ingredients
  • 2 cup All-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Whole milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon Yellow food coloring
  • 2 cup Chocolate frosting
  • Black decorating gel
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a school bus-shaped cake pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients, alternating with the milk. Stir in the yellow food coloring.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top. Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  6. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
  7. Once the cake is completely cooled, frost it with chocolate frosting. Use the black decorating gel to draw on the windows, wheels, and other details of the school bus.
