Ingredients
  • 2 pound Potatoes
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese
  • 2 cup Milk
  • 2 tablespoon Butter
  • 2 tablespoon All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Peel and thinly slice the potatoes.
  3. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  4. Gradually whisk in the milk and cook until the mixture thickens.
  5. Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the grated cheddar cheese until melted.
  6. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish. Pour half of the cheese sauce over the potatoes. Repeat with the remaining potatoes and cheese sauce.
  7. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the top is golden and the potatoes are tender.
  9. Let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
