  2. Gradually add warm water and mix until a sticky dough forms.
  3. Add butter and eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  6. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  7. Punch down the dough and divide it into 4 equal portions.
  8. Shape each portion into a small round bun and place them on a greased baking sheet.
  9. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
  10. Meanwhile, prepare the rum syrup by combining rum, sugar, and vanilla extract in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  11. Remove the buns from the oven and immediately brush them with the rum syrup.
  12. Let the buns cool for a few minutes.
  13. Cut the peaches into slices.
  14. Serve the rum babas with peach slices and dust with powdered sugar.
